AJ grew up in L.A. playing guitar and singing in punk bands, eventually touring internationally before falling in love with what was happening behind the glass. That curiosity led him to study Recording and Engineering Arts at SF State, intern at Fat Wreck Chords, and dive headfirst into an internship at One Union Recording in San Francisco.

After graduating, AJ worked his way up at Eleven, then to Juice STUDIOS, and in 2018 joined Barking Owl, mixing for clients like Nike, Meta, Reebok, and WhatsApp.

When he’s not in the studio, AJ’s probably riding his Harley across the country, training MMA, or tinkering with GUITAR pedals and vintage amps.
